Graduate profile
Objectives and main outcomes of the education
A graduate of the master's degree (Mgr. art.) acquires theoretical and practical knowledge of theatre art and manages to use it when performing a profession at a highly qualified level or when continuing a subsequent doctoral study.
• He/she will obtain an overview of historical and contemporary forms of theatre art and scenic creation.
• He/she will learn procedures and knowledge that can be used in contemporary dramatic work. He/she is able to independently search and find productive stimuli for the construction of thought concepts, he/she is able to perform demanding artistic performances.
• He/she acquires creative abilities for independent theatrical work with an emphasis on personal expression and individual artistic expression, he/she can analyze artistic procedures that he/she is able to apply and further develop in a creative way, he/she acquires interpretation and implementation techniques of individual components of theatrical art that can be applied in new trends in theatre creation.
• He/she will acquire broad historical and current knowledge in connection with creation methods, supplemented by practical experience from workshops and projects led by recognized practitioners. He/she can realize a stage, film or radio performance, formulate theoretical opinions in his/her field of expertise, the ability to examine and reflect on the form and methods of a work of art and artistic performance, and communicates in a foreign language at an advanced level.
• He/she will acquire a theoretical and practical basis in the field of project creation and production so that he/she is able to manage his/her artistic creation independently. He/she will acquire the managerial and legal minimum usable in artistic production, in order to be able to respond flexibly to the demands of the contemporary cultural sphere, to be able to be realized in the field of independent artistic creation, and to be a functional part of diversely focused artistic projects.
• He/she acquires the ability to think analytically and critically, shapes the percipient through his/her work and promotes moral and ethical values in society with regard to aesthetic and sociocultural requirements.
• He/she can specify and propose artistically original and innovative solutions and make effective decisions when choosing and using artistic methods and techniques. He/she deepens the ability to creatively search and discover contexts, new perspectives and artistic procedures, he/she can formulate issues, choose and defend its own solutions.
• He/she is able to communicate and work with a team, including solving crisis situations, is ready to take responsibility for decision-making and solving professional problems, has an overview of the creative means of expression used in the creation of contemporary dramatic and stage works and knows how to apply them himself/herself, create, present and defend the overall scenic work, including its professional reflection.
• On the basis of acquired skills and knowledge, he/she is able to independently and conceptually create artistically at a top level, he/she is able to interpret and publicly present his/her work in a national and international context.
Based on a selection from the recommended subject trajectories, the graduate is profiled as a unique theatre creator whose abilities are specified according to the specific artistic profession to which he/she will practically devote himself/herself.

Graduates´ perspectives
A graduate of the Master's study programme in Theatre Arts acquires the professional qualification to perform the profession of actor, director or dramaturg as an independent theatre creator at the level of Master of Arts.
Graduates of master's studies find employment in demanding work, which they can perform in the theatre and other professional artistic bodies, film and multimedia, secondary and higher art education, journalism and journalism.
He/she is technically and personally prepared for independent creative work in versatile theatre work.
He/she has all the prerequisites to work as an independent creator, but also as a member of an artistic team, to adapt to teamwork and the ability to lead a collective, to keep in touch with the latest developments in the disciplines of dramatic art and to continue his/her own professional development.
A graduate can apply as a member of artistic ensembles of professional theatres, creator of independent art projects, film, radio, dubbing creator, in leading positions in cultural institutions and drama departments of art schools and in a wide range of artistic, educational and organizational activities that require high qualifications.
A master's degree graduate can continue, after successfully passing the entrance exams, in a doctoral degree in a subsequent or related study programme.

Graduate profile
Graduates of master's studies can independently and creatively apply their practical experience, technical skills and professional abilities, necessary to create an original work on their own topic, and can fulfil their author's intention in it.
• He/she also has a refined ability of critical reflection, so he/she can convey his/her creative impulses and processes to others.
• He/she can think conceptually and coordinate the staff, where he/she applies his/her acquired experience.
• He/she is also able to use his/her knowledge, gained from an intimate knowledge of Slovak and world film documentary and feature work, as well as the television environment and its multigenre spectrum, in the creation of his/her own audio-visual projects.

Graduates of the master's degree will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge, which they will apply especially in various areas of audio-visual. They can:
• create their own work of art – the script of a feature or documentary film or direct an author's documentary work,
• dramaturgically edit audio-visual works,
• work in several positions within television and film creation and production and improve their control (camera, editing, sound, production),
• actively respond to the rapidly changing creative environment in audio-visual media, thanks to professional and theoretical background,
• follow and respond creatively to stimuli arising from the development of audio-visual technology.

Based on individual talent, personal prerequisites and chosen specialization, they are ready to:
• participate in the author's work during the creation of a documentary film in demanding physical and economic-organizational conditions, where he/she is able to work independently,
• create audio-visual works inspired by stimuli from other artistic fields and human activities (art film, music clip, popular science film, etc.),
• after completing additional pedagogical studies, work as a teacher of professional subjects in secondary art education and as a university teacher,
• present your own solutions to assigned tasks, author's concepts and projects of film works.

Graduate perspectives
Graduates of master's studies can apply themselves in practice according to their individual characteristics, talent assumptions and interests, expressed by the choice of obligatory optional and elective subjects as:
- author of scripts for various types of audio-visual media
- dramaturg in the creation of films and audio-visual programmes
- independent producer of demanding film projects of a commercial nature
- director of documentary films
- producer of audio-visual works
- creator of advertising and PR
- member of expert commissions for audio-visual,
- creator of radio formats
- pedagogue (after passing the supplementary pedagogical minimum)
- as a student of 3rd level - doctoral studies at home and abroad. (According to the dispositions and conditions of specific universities.)
